Scott closed a record 17 transactions totaling more than $5 million in sales last year alone. Originally from North Carolina, Scott Startsman vacationed most of his life in Hawaii and in 1999 decided to move permanently to the Islands. Scott attended Appalachian State University and UNC Charlotte were he was a scholarship athlete in soccer, making the academic honor roll 3 years while being apart of the national ranked soccer program. Scott graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing & Sales. He spent time studying in England and Scotland, and had an internship with the CTO of Interealty Corp. strategically planning future marketing and sales patterns for the real estate industry. Scott has been associated with real estate most of his life, either by way of his own investment portfolio, or by helping his family with their commercial, residential, and business ventures. Along side of all this, Scott enjoys surfing, golfing, and coaching soccer.

Scott is in the process of pursuing his GRI designation (Graduated Realtor Institute). The Graduate Realtor(r) Institute is a program, recognized by the National Association of Realtors(r), designed primarily for Realtors(r) whose main business activity is residential real estate. To earn the GRI designation, candidates are required to complete and successfully pass the GRI curriculum within five years. State associations award the GRI designation, which is recognized in 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. The prestigious GRI designation is also nationally recognized and provides professional recognition for Realtors(r). It signifies a dedicated and knowledgeable agent. Wearing your GRI pin, displaying your certificate, putting the GRI logo on business cards and stationery and using "GRI" after your name are additional ways to communicate your professional achievement to clients.

Scott is also pursuing The CRS designation (Certified Residential Specialist). The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) is the highest designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field and recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education. Through the Residential Sales Council of the National Association of Realtors(r), members enjoy numerous networking opportunities with top producing peers.
